Market open 9am-5pm Monday through Sunday

November brings us cooler weather and shorter days here on the south shore. Our market is stocked full of fresh apples from our orchards, we have Bosc Pears and cauliflower, greenhouse grown tomatoes, Sweet Mama Buttercup and golden Hubbards squash.

We have been busy harvesting cranberries from our bog, sorting and packaging right here on site. Every package has the recipe for cranberry sauce printed right on the bag.

If you are into making your own saurkraut, our winter cabbage is available by the 50lb bag for only $20. And we have brought in items from the valley such as potatoes, carrots, onions, turnips and parsnips for anyone craving a nice hearty stew.

Market hours are Monday through Sunday 9-5pm.

Feels like fall

September in Nova Scotia means fall is around the corner. Here at our little farm we are busy harvesting the crops from the fields and orchards, while still leaving time for some fun. Farmer Glen’s sweet yellow corn is proving to be as delicious as ever and Farmer Matty’s corn Maze will leave you feeling lost.

We have large pumpkins and tiny gourds and all the sizes in between. Sugar pie pumpkins for baking, cornstalks for decorating and straw bales for all of you or your animals’ needs.

The first cranberries of the season have been harvested and our red peppers are also ready.

Our market is open Monday through Sunday 9am-6pm.

Happy Summer

As August bears down on us with a record breaking heatwave, we hope both you and your gardens are surviving well.

Our market is already over flowing with the bounty of our gardens; from kale, lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower to summer cabbage, purple cabbage, turnip and zucchini.

Green and yellow beans, peas, fresh carrots and the new baby potatoes all taste delicious both on their own or altogether in the Nova Scotia traditional dish of HodgePodge.

The highbush blueberries seem to be loving this warm weather and the upick is open daily, berries are also available to pick up inside the market. Peaches and plums are beginning to ripen, and have just started to harvest the first of our August apples, a nice early variety “Bough Sweet” to start.

Sweet yellow and peaches and cream corn varieties are now in the market and we have cucumbers of all sizes, along with beets, garlic and fresh dill, it’s a great time for pickling.

The majority of the food we sell is grown right here on our farm with a few exceptions of course, which are sourced as locally as possible. We hope you enjoy and thank you for shopping local with us.

It is Berry good to see you.

Our strawberry upicks have been very busy this season, with happy faces and giant berries for everyone. We love seeing your smiling faces, keep on sharing those photos with us through Instagram and Facebook. The upick is currently still available, call the market to find out open times.

While the season for strawberries might be winding down, Blueberries and Raspberries are just beginning. The Blueberry upick has just opened and the Raspberry won’t be far behind, visit the Market any day for information on how and where to upick these berries.
